“ I visited this place during my last trips to Taipei; the most recent visit is just a week ago. As this place is popular among both locals and tourists, expect queueing time beyond 20 minutes. Thankfully the staff are very efficient and are able to clear the queue within the shortest time possible. I was lucky, as during my both visits, it took me less than 10 minutes of waiting time to get my food. The order process is very systematic and efficient - order you drinks first, then order your food and then make payment. But as the pace can be very fast, be sure to familiarise with the food items that you wish to order upon reaching the order station. For my first visit, I ordered the salty soy milk, brown sugar pastry and green onion roll. That was the best salty soy milk that I have ever tried. As for the brown sugar pastry (just like Heong Piah from my hometown but with more sesame seeds) and green onion roll, both are equally good. During my second visit, I decided to try their soy milk and rice milk - the soy milk was flavourful and for the rice milk, I was not expecting peanut milk. But it was delicious, tasted more like peanut paste with a more liquid consistency. Come to their signature thick bread with eggs and donut stick, I never regretted my option this visit - the donut stick was fried to crisp and paired well with the thick bread and the eggs. I will definitely be back for other items on the menu. ”

“ We arrived when they were just opening on a weekday morning and there was a line of about two dozen people. The line was out the door and to the top of the stairs. We probably waited about 10-15 minutes before we got to order. Luckily there’s a lot to take in as you watch them cook. The internal space is very large and you can hear a lot of foreign languages as tourists flock in. Ordering was a breeze as many of the staff spoke English. Both the soy milks were great but we particularly liked the sesame bun with sugar filling. It was very crispy and with a strong sesame aroma. The inside is completely hollow except for the melted sugars. It was a great snack. The bun with egg was very mediocre as it came out, but after adding a little chili sauce it was a knockout dish. Overall I don’t know if I’d be willing to wait over an hour for this as there are many other breakfast spots that sell the same thing. If you come early, it’s probably worth a try though. ”

“ A lot of people recommend this place since it’s known as the go-to spot for traditional Taiwanese breakfast. We waited in line for about 20–30 minutes to order as it’s located inside a food court. We tried their signature dishes: salty soy milk, Shaobing with You Tiao, flatbread with scrambled eggs and an egg pancake. Honestly, I think it’s a bit overrated. The dishes were a little dry and I found them quite heaty. The salty soy milk was definitely unique. It’s like Tofu Fa but served with soy sauce. It was interesting to try, but not really my thing. ”

“ Yes, the line is long, but it moves quickly and the food makes the wait worthwhile. The thick flatbread is crispy on the outside and soft inside, the fried dough is perfectly crunchy, and the savory soy milk is rich and comforting without being too heavy. Everything tastes freshly made and full of traditional Taiwanese breakfast flavor. If you’re visiting Taipei, this is a must-try experience, just come early and hungry. ”

“ You have to wait in a LONG LONG line. This is the most important info before visiting here. Typical Taiwanese breakfast spot. -Soy milk was good but a bit sweeter than expected. Taste wise good. Health wise, not so good. -The salty soy milk was the stand out item. This is highly recommended. -egg on thick roll was good. The egg is a little saltier than necessary. -the salty sticky rice with egg was good. -Turnip cake was meh. Not missing out on anything -peanut rice drink was interesting. Super sweet. This drink might not be for everyone. This place is really just like most breakfast places. The main reason it stands out is because everything is made fresh. Also, make sure you know what you want to order before you get to the counter. The staff will get impatient if you take too long to order. However, in my opinion, it's better to bother them and get everything you want. If you are going to wait for hours, they can spare a few minutes to help you order food. Is it worth the wait? This is tough to answer. When I went the first time, I thought it was nothing special. So I went to a few more different breakfast spots to compare. Afterwards, I realized I was still thinking about the salty soy milk from this place. The other competitors just do not make it as fresh as this place. Also, the prices are pretty cheap. ”

“ We stood in line for an hour as we wanted Fu Hang to be our first breakfast experience in Taiwan. This was on a Friday morning so I don't even want to imagine what the weekends look like. Fu Hang is located in a food court so if you want to try some of the other stalls there, you can enter through a different entrance but for Fu Hang, the entrance is on Shaoxing street. The ambiance is the typical food court ambiance. Ideally, your party would find a table while you stand in line. There is no service from the stall itself. Once you get to the counter, they want you to order very quickly so it can get a bit nerve racking there, especially when you are language challenged like us. You order there, you pay, get your food and then the food court people bus your empty plates. They have a bunch of condiments (soy sauce, vinegar, chili oil, chili sauce) etc at the communal table right in front of Fu Hang. Generally speaking, the food experience was good but after visiting a few different Soy Milk places, this was not our top experience. We ordered the salty soy milk, the egg with green onion, the signature thick bread with scrambled egg and the green onion bun. The salty soy milk experience was interesting. After having it in a bunch of places, we have come to the conclusion that this isn't one of our favorite dishes in general. I will say that the Fu Hang one was pretty decent. It was quite bland for our Indian taste buds so we had to add a bunch of chili oil and even some of the chili sauce they had. The warm was nice and the fried dough balls soaked in the split soy milk were our favorite part of the dish. The egg with green onion was basically an omelet and it was fine. Again, needed more spices to liven it up. My husband loved the signature bread with the scrambled egg but the bread was too thick for me. If we were to ever go here again, I would get the thin bread. The egg inside the bread was literally the same egg omelet. The bun was nice and one of our favorite parts of this meal. I'm glad that we had this experience but I don't think it is worth the 1 hour wait. Yong He in Da'an was our favorite experience and the line was not this crazy! ”

“ A very old yet classic Taiwanese style brekkie, Fried doughstick with egg in bread with soy milk. This restaurant creates and fires their own bread in a charcoal oven, it deep fries their own doughsticks too. You can watch the magic happen while you line up to make your order. The ordering system is quick, as you order they prep it for you. Delicious food with a good range, very popular touristy spot too but also loved by locals. Warning...there is alway a line, however the line always moves quick! ”

“ The queue was super super long even on Tuesday's morning. But the queue ran quickly. Really recommend salty soy milk. Its so nice and tasty. More than me and my husband was expected. At first, I feel like this place might be overrated but after we tried salt soy milk. Its really worth to visit. If you stay in Taipei make sure you have time for this. Pls go try. ”
